The UK’s wind energy industry will play a pivotal role in meeting the government’s renewable energy targets to move towards a more sustainable future. With the UK having joined the EU initative, we intend to have 15 per cent of all energy being from renewable sources by 2020 - the UK renewable market is on the increase!

The UK is already a European leader in harnessing the wind’s energy yet our industry will need to continue to expand considerably to reach the targets set. With over £50 billion investment required to reach this goal, the market will rely on more creative innovation, continued product development and a devoted pool of niche skilled workers. This rapid expansion will create challenges in many areas such as technology, transport, power grid connection and maintenance. The only solution: to continuously support the industry with a thriving, expert workforce.
