Mon 3 Nov 2008
Paul Muir won a brand new Odyssey Putter with a Hole in One on the nearest the pin competition at the SRG Engineering stand at ChemEng08. The competition was being held to publicise the launch of the IChemE golf society, which aims to provide golf events for IChemE members throughout the UK during 2009.

Paul, who plays off 12, was delighted with his win. “It was a fantastic to see the ball roll into the hole as I could do with a new putter. I look forward to using it at the first IChemE golf society event in Scotland next year.”
Mike Ellingham, Head of Marketing for SRG Engineering, who are helping to launch the society said. “Its fantastic that the putter was won by a hole in one. It was not an easy shot and anyone who got within 5 metres did incredibly well.” The top 10 leaderboard is shown below - congratulations to everyone on it and particular commiserations to Philip Border who was so close to a hole in one as well.
