Profile:
The main areas of responsibility in this role include:
- Managing a team of 6 Engineers to maintain a high level of competency within the department to enable process developments and the design and build of special purpose machines and equipment for leading brands
- Project management - evaluating technical feasibility through to implementation stage and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget.
- Identify customers needs and turn innovative ideas into practical solutions.
- Compliance with European a directives.
Youll have the drive and enthusiasm to ensure achievement of results, with a proven track record of delivering high value projects to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of delivering results through others and developing team members
- An innovative mindset with an extensive track record in a senior Engineering role within Operations.
- Experience in an R & D environment would be highly desirable.
- Experience of process development
- Strong engineering design skills with experience of hands on machine development, knowledge and methodologies
- A self starter with a successful track record in project management and a high level of commercial awareness
- Considerable machinery and process design flair
- Competent user of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
The ideal candidate will possess an Engineering degree and fluency in any other languages would also be advantageous but not essential. This role is York based with occasional travel overseas.
