Contract Work

Whether you are looking for your first job in engineering, the next step in your career, a change in direction or you prefer to work in this way, at SRG we can offer you the chance to try your hand at a range of different contract engineering jobs to gain experience in a number of sectors.

This has the dual benefit of boosting your skills and helps you decide in which direction you would like your career to go next. You can either work on a PAYE basis and therefore become an employee of SRG for the duration of your contract, or you can set yourself up as a limited company contractor, which will mean you are responsible for your own tax and national insurance, etc. If you prefer the PAYE option, we employ our contractors as SRG Associates and offer a range of benefits usually associated with permanent employment.

For the majority of our clients their work is project driven, so they will often be looking for additional resource for the duration of the project, without increasing their headcount, so we are able to offer professional engineers contract work with these clients.

Contract work offers you the ability to work in a variety of industries and the opportunity to broaden your technical skills. Many companies employ engineers on a contract basis to evaluate an employee’s performance with a view to permanent employment.
